Concordia University Wisconsin issued the following announcement on September 8.

PASTOR PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COURSES

Concordia University Wisconsin and Concordia Seminary are pleased to debut two pilot, online courses for pastors.

"Scripture in Counseling" with CSL's Dr. Dan Paavola and CUW's Dr. Dan Paavola | Beginning September 8, 2020

"Change Management in the Church" with CSL's Dr. David Peter, CUW's Dr. Erik Hollander and Rev. Randy Raasch of First Immanuel Lutheran Church | Beginning April 5, 2021

The courses mark a first-time partnership for the two schools in the area of online pastoral continuing education offerings.

COURSE FORMAT AND COSTS

The sessions are asynchronous, meaning they can be completed at any time after the launch date.

The opening session will take place live from 3:30-4:30 p.m. Sept. 8, but will be available for on-demand viewing as well. A closing session will also be held live via web conference and recorded for later viewing.

Courses are affordable at $99 each and accessible to all in an online format.

Pastors can earn 6.0 CEU credits for each course.

Courses (offered over six weeks) include video lectures, optional readings, recommended assignments and peer discussion activities.

WHOM SHOULD ATTEND?

These courses are especially appropriate for ordained LCMS pastors, commissioned church workers, and LCMS lay leaders.
