Challenges of CHARGE Syndrome

Presenter:

Ocular coloboma is one of the major characteristics of CHARGE syndrome, but there are multiple other ocular abnormalities that also require monitoring. We will discuss a case of a young adult with CHARGE syndrome and chorioretinal coloboma and review the literature on management and prophylactic treatment of chorioretinal colobomas.

Learning Objectives:

Review CHARGE syndrome and the ocular and systemic manifestations

Review ophthalmic management of CHARGE syndrome

Discussion of management of chorioretinal colobomas
