Shorewood School District recently issued the following announcement.
View some important updates regarding the COVID Self Screener, Isolation Timeline & Contact Tracing Reference, COVID-19 Decision Tool Flowsheet, Close Contact Guidance for Fully Vaccinated Individuals & Reporting a Positive Case, and Resources
Maintaining a safe learning environment is paramount, and we are grateful to all students and families for working with us to help stop virus transmission and keep schools open.
In addition to the COVID-19 section on the District website, which is continuously updated with school information and community resources, please review these three important reminders and discuss them with your student(s):
Masking:
- Correct and consistent mask use - at school and in the community - is a critical step everyone can take to prevent the spread of COVID-19. Please review the link and model how to wear a mask correctly.
- Please keep your child safe by staying away from crowds and maintaining appropriate social distance.
- Wash your hands regularly, for 20 seconds, using soap and hot water. Make sure to wash your fingertips. This is especially important after using the restroom, coughing or sneezing into your hands, and before preparing or consuming food.
- Avoid coughing or sneezing into your hands or in the air. Always try to cough or sneeze into a tissue, and then throw the tissue away. If you don’t have a tissue, cough/sneeze into your arm. As much as you can, avoid touching your eyes, mouth and nose.
