City of Wauwatosa issued the following announcement on Dec. 20
Topics this week during city meetings include:
- Community Development Authority (December 21, 12:00 pm) will discuss a letter of support to Plan Commission for the Harlow & Hem development at Blanchard Street Parking Lot at 1330 Wauwatosa Avenue, a staff update on the potential redevelopment of 7746 Menomonee River Parkway, and the East Tosa Walkup project located at 6330 W North Avenue
- Committee of the Whole (December 21, 6:00 pm) will have the annual performance evaluation of the City Administrator. This item is marked for closed session.
- Common Council (December 21, 7:30 pm) will talk about:
- an ordinance amending the zoning map of Wauwatosa at 7423 W. North Avenue and 7429 W. North Avenue
- an ordinance designating the use of "charter schools" as a conditional use in the C2 district
- an ordinance amending the zoning map of Wauwatosa for a portion of the property located at 11811 W. Blue Mound Road
- an ordinance related to zoning protest petitions and supermajority votes for zoning map amendments
- an ordinance to modify treatment of split-zoned parcels
- proposal to repeal and recreate a section of the Municipal Code related to election official appointments and election day shifts
- establishing polling place sites for upcoming elections and establishing polling sites by resolution instead of by ordinance
- an ordinance modifying parking regulations on N 74th Street from W Wright Street to Clark Street following the conclusion of a 90-day trial
- setting a public hearing date of January 18, 2022 to zoning a zoning map amendment at 7423 W North Avenue and 7429 W North Avenue and to consider a planned unit development called Cornerstone Village - Wauwatosa
- an ordinance to establish a permanent Commission for Persons with Disabilities
- an ordinance allowing the Common Council, standing committees, and other city boards and commissions to hold electronic meetings
- a resolution opposing 2021 LRB Bill Draft 5217 and directing staff to communicate opposition to Legislators, Governor, and others
- a 3-year agreement for software services with InTech Software Solutions for an election management program
- a 3-year license agreement with Environmental Systems Research Institute for GIS.
- a contract with Ajilon to provide contract workers for disease investigation for 2022
- a contract with Maxim Healthcare Services to provide contract workers for vaccine administration for 2022
- waiving the competitive bid process for the purchase of an ambulance
- resolution approving American Rescue Plan Act funds for Small Business Early Out Programs
- proposed settlement in the matter of Meijer Stores vs. City of Wauwatosa (closed session)
- discussion of opioid litigation pending in the United State District Court for the Northern District of Ohio (closed session)
Meeting Format
The Common Council passed a resolution to have hybrid city meetings. This means that the elected officials and public may attend in person or virtually, under a few conditions: universal mask use, physical distancing, staying home if sick, and a virtual option for high-risk individuals.
