  • Thursday, Mar. 17, 2022 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, Mar. 24, 2022 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, Mar. 31, 2022 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, Apr. 7, 2022 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, Apr. 14, 2022 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, Apr. 21, 2022 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
  • Thursday, Apr. 28, 2022 1 p.m. – 3 p.m.
Description

The registration deadline is March 4.

Participants learn how to reduce their risk of falling in this 7-week workshop. The first date will be the orientation session followed by 7 weeks of class.

If you are at risk for falls or are worried about falling, "Stepping On" is a program that can help you learn:

  • How to identify fall risk factors in your home and community
  • How to get up safely from a fall
  • Sitting, standing, strength and balance exercises
  • Strategies to help you stay independent and active
  • How footwear, medication and vision can affect your risk for falling
Is "Stepping On" for You?

"Stepping On" is the perfect program if you:

  • Are age 60 or older
  • Live independently
  • Walk without assistance or with a cane
  • Have fallen or are fearful of falling
  • Do not use a walker — or use a walker outdoors only
  • Are cognitively aware
  • Have access to the internet and a device with a web camera
