American Rescue Plan Act - Proposed Funding Package

Fundact

City of Wauwatosa issued the following announcement on March 9.

Wauwatosa is receiving roughly $24 million in COVID-19 relief from the American Rescue Plan Act. Over the past several months, Wauwatosa has hosted several community engagement opportunities to understand how allocating these funds might help our community recover and build resiliency from the effects of the pandemic. Read more about our past community engagement.

We received proposals from the community and city staff and presented a funding package to the Committee of the Whole for their consideration. Watch the following meetings for more information:

  • January 18 - a summary of the community engagement and all of the project ideas and proposals received
  • March 1
    • part 1 - an initial funding package presentation
    • part 2 - voting by the Committee of the Whole
  • March 8 - discussion and voting by the Committee of the Whole of a funding package
The Committee of the Whole voted to send a funding package to the Common Council for approval. Below are a list of projects included in that funding package. The Common Council will discuss the funding package on March 15. They may modify the funding package before taking a vote, meaning that the funding package can be changed by the Council during their discussion on March 15.
