2022 Whitefish Bay Summer Event Guide

Village of Whitefish Bay issued the following announcement on May 17.

1840 Traveling Beer Garden:

Saturdays, May 28, June 18, August 6, 2:00 p.m.–9:00 p.m.;

September 10, 2:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.

Cheers! 1840 Brewing Company will host their traveling beer garden in Klode Park on four Saturdays this summer. Guests can enjoy food, drinks, and live music each time. Check out their beer menu here.

 Memorial Day Ceremony:

Monday, May 30, 11:00 a.m.

Join the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation for a Memorial Day Ceremony, taking place on Memorial Day, at Armory Park. The Veterans Monument and Memorial Garden at Armory Park honors the rich history of men and women who served and fought valiantly for our nation. Located on the original site of Whitefish Bay National Guard Armory, the monument is located at the southwest corner of Henry Clay Street and Ardmore Avenue.

Similar to past years, the ceremony will be an opportunity for Veterans to connect with one another and for the community to honor our country’s fallen service members. The event will also give Whitefish Bay families a way to teach children the meaning behind Memorial Day and to witness traditional military customs.

 Sip*Shop*Support Local: First Thursdays on Silver Spring Drive:Thursdays, June 2, July 7, August 4, and September 1, 5:00 p.m.–7:00 p.m.

Join us on Silver Spring Drive on the first Thursday of each month, June through September, for a few extra hours of shopping (and sipping!). Twenty Nine participating businesses will stay open late, and will offer wine (June and August) and beer (July and September) for you to enjoy.  Farmers Market:

Saturdays, June 11–October 15, 8:30 a.m.–12:30 p.m.

The Farmers Market is back! This year is primed to be better than ever with your favorite tried and true vendors returning, plus several new vendors joining in the fun, including Moleta knife sharpening, Little Martian Coffee, El Gato Chocolates, and That Salsa Lady.  Ice Cream Socials:

Wednesdays, June 15 and August 3, 6:30 p.m.–8:00 p.m. (or while supplies last)

After school is out for the summer, it’s a tradition to celebrate with the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation’s Ice Cream Social. The annual event will take place at Old School House Park (5420 N. Marlborough Drive) across from the library. Also mark your calendars for a second Social, returning to the same park in August! Both events will feature sweet treats from Pete’s Pops and music by the Village Band of Whitefish Bay. The treats and music are free.

 Village Band Concerts at Schoolhouse Park:

June 15, July 20, August 3, August 10, 7:00 p.m. at Schoolhouse Park

June 29, 7:00 p.m. at Klode Park

Enjoy free music in the park!. This is the Village Band's 34th Summer Concert Season. Look for the Village Band at various community events this summer. For the most up-to-date information, follow the band on Facebook.

 Fourth of July

Monday, July 4, 11:30 a.m.

What’s the Best Day in the Bay? You know it’s the Fourth of July! The Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation is thrilled to keep the tradition going in 2022. Don’t miss the annual parade, and stop by Klode Park for food, drinks, games, and, of course, fireworks! For details, visit the Civic Foundation’s website.

 Whitefish Bay Art Festival

Saturday–Sunday, July 9–10, 10:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

The Merchants along with Amdur Productions will be closing Silver Spring Drive, from Santa Monica Boulevard to Lake Drive, so that 100+ artists from all over the country can set up tier booths and present artworks for visitors to browse and shop. The juried artists, live entertainment, and food and beverages from local restaurants will prove to make this a wonderful event for the whole family.  Sidewalk Sale

Friday–Saturday, July 15–16, 9:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m.

This annual event kicks off with businesses opening early and bringing some of their goods out on the street to create a fun environment for shoppers. On Saturday, the sales continue throughout the day and, at Berkeley Boulevard, the street will be closed and the Merchants of Whitefish Bay along with Yellow Wood will set up a fun ‘Kids Adventure Zone,’ complete with a climbing wall and more.  Sounds of Summer

Saturday, August 20, 5:00 p.m.–10:00 p.m.

Bring your own blankets and chairs, and enjoy a live concert on Silver Spring Drive! This free event is organized by the Whitefish Bay Civic Foundation and the Merchants of Whitefish Bay. Look for more details on each organization’s website.
