Everyone deserves meaningful employment, but that can be a challenge for those with disabilities.
That's where Project SEARCH comes in. The program helps young adults with disabilities gain the skills they need to enter the workforce and stay employed.
On Friday, they celebrated the graduation of eight interns.
"We have a lot of people, a lot of students and adults, that have either visible or invisible disabilities, that unfortunately are lost through the cracks," said VP and Chief Diversity Officer of Froedtert Health Andres Gonzalez. "And this program actually allows them to be visible, to be heard."
Since its start in 2008, Project SEARCH Wisconsin has provided workforce training to nearly 1,500 Wisconsin residents.
