FOIA Request to Village of Fox Point Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.
We at Milwaukee North News have submitted a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., for records pertaining to new voter registrations in the Village of Fox Point. Specifically, we are seeking a list of voters who registered on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
As a media organization dedicated to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, access to public records is crucial for us to fulfill our professional responsibilities. These include holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public.
Given our role in disseminating information, we believe we are eligible for a fee waiver as media professionals. We await the response from the Village of Fox Point and remain committed to keeping our readers informed about local civic matters.
