Gift of Wings and the Greendale Park and Rec Dept are proud to present The FIRST Annual "KITES OVER GREENDALE". The date is Sunday, September, 27th, from 11:00 am until 3:00 pm or so. The place is the Community Center field at 6200 S 76th Street. I encourage everyone to bring their own kites or pick one up at the Gift of Wings Kite Store in Greendale and Franklin, or Gift of Wings will be selling kites at the event, along with some of the great food we are known for.
BREAKING NEWS: Paul Koepke, National Kite Flying performer will be flying some of his famous routines. Brett Williams, also known as the KITE WHISPERERERER, will be giving FREE kite flying lessons. We also plan to try to fly the giant Octopus kite sometime during the day depending on wind conditions. We will be giving away 25 FREE kites to the first 25 kids that sign up and participate in the Kids Mad Dash to see who can get their kite the highest in 60 seconds.
